I hope opening day was a good day for you and your ball players. 

The team Game schedules have been posted here on the web site for 2013 Double A Schedule and 2013 Triple A Schedule. There is no excuse for missing a game because you didn't know when and where. Single A games are scheduled for Saturdays at 10 am.

I will be coming around to games this week and next with the order forms for Rock Cats tickets.  We sold 60 of our 150 reserved seats on the first day.  I hope all of you have a chance to attend.

Free Hot Dog Night is a fun night. Plan on coming for dinner Friday May 10 at Ridge Hill from 5-7:30pm.  We will have games going on plus we may have some other events for the kids.  That will be election night and I know several of you will step forward and be a part of our new 5 person ruling board to replace me.

As usual, if there are any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to call or email me.  Any uniform or equipment changes need to be submitted no later than this Tuesday night so I can fix the problems all at once.

Opening Day Spring 2013

Coaches and Parents,

Tomorrow, Saturday April 27 is our Spring Season Opening Day.
All players should be at Ridge Hill School lower field in full uniform no later than 9:30am.  Parking will be tight, so plan on coming 15 minutes early to get a good parking spot.
Moto Photo will be set up at 9:30am to take team and individual pictures. If you don't attend tomorrow your player will not be in the team photo. A desk will be set up on the upper field and you need to fill out the form.  Please go immediately to the registration table if your team is scheduled.

Any questions about photo times, please check with your coach.The Mayor will be there at 10:00AM sharp to throw out the first pitch and the season will begin immediately.
 
Double A games:
Red Sox vs. Yankees playing on Ridge Lower Field
Angels vs. Cardinals playing on Ridge Rookie Field
Dodgers - bye week
 
Triple A:
Mets vs. Orioles playing on Ridge Upper Field
Friday (tonight) @ 5:30pm Phillies vs. Rays playing on Ridge Upper Field
 
GHBA Rock Cats night is on May 11th and tickets will be available for $6/each.  We have 150 tickets/seats reserved so please purchase your tickets on opening day.  There will be a table set up for your to order as many tickets as you want.  Rock Cats night is a whole lot of fun.  We take over a section of the seating area and enjoy food and drinks and watch the Minnesota Twins Farm team (Rock Cats) play the Boston Red Sox Farm team.
The kids will get a chance to march on the field prior to the game and a few lucky players will actually man the bases during the playing of the National Anthem. 

There is a lot of preparation involved in getting opening day started, so if you have an hour to volunteer it would be greatly appreciated.  We need help to make this a wonderful day for the kids and parents.  Please email me or call my cell (203) 314-9274 if you want to help.  If you have any team related issues please call your coach.

Final note: 
There will be a meeting to elect a new President, VP, Treasurer and board within two weeks.  I look forward to anyone who wants to be a part of this 45 year tradition to join us and make the league better.
